2+ weeks later my new blog site is up and running! The process was a trial under fire and I probably made it harder than it needed to be. It was one step forward then two steps backward (at least it felt that way).

First it was getting my domain name under my control from ActiveRain.com. That process took a week to cut through the red tape of both ActiveRain.com and GoDaddy.com.

Then it was, "How do I set up the new blog?" 

Initially I set up a hosting account with GoDaddy.com. Then after spending 5-6 hours trying to re-learn the Dreamweaver 4 software I had from 10 years ago, I decided / realized I did not want to learn / purchase new website software to set up the site.
 
So I switched over to their Website Tonight service which took an hour or so on the phone with them to set up. I spent another day setting up the website the way I wanted it. Except now I had a new website with my domain name but no blog? What the%$#@! Way to get side tracked Donn!
 
Back to square one. Finally figured out what I really wanted to have was their QuickBlogCast product instead. Another hour on the phone with them setting up my new brainstorm. Now that I have the right product, I am finally ready to "Rock 'n' Roll".

Now I just need to figure out how to transfer all or most of my old blogs from ActiveRain. Here we go again!
